Pamela Isley - preliminary
Before I changed the pose this was the basis for my sculpture. I will still use the same basic elements. -
Taking a step back to properly support the figure with a strong armature put me two steps ahead of where I was yesterday. The figure will be better for it. Old photos and the new support shown.

Armature Pamela Isley, er’one.
Here’s to a productive weekend! -
Brush pen vs. PITT pen
Winner…Pentel Brush Pen. Now I need to learn to really use itand in all fairness, the Pitt pen has it’s place for detail work.

“I got some Copic markers today!” or “Devil Girl Cliché”
Here’s the Copic colored devil girl and a hand inked, scanned and vectorized version.

I really dig this one. Number two in the New Mutants Tarot Deck. It’s Magik, on a good day. She’ll return in another card to show what happens when she’s had a bad day.
Enjoy!

Another night, another sketch.
It’s too literal and the body’s long, but I finished it.
-
This started out as a quick gesture drawing and ended up as this.
Ever moving forward.Also, I’m working on a Valentines Day piece. It’s a long-term piece.

“Scarlett”
So, I finished it. It had a sort-of nouveau influence so I dressed it up that way. Some day I’d love to be able to do an actual art nouveau style drawing. The face isn’t nearly as realistic as the Bride of Frankenstein, but considering I haven’t drawn anything in a month or so, it’s not too bad. I took some chances with color, style and line so that was a big leap ahead for me.
Vintage art nouveau frame. Desdemona typeface use for “Scarlett”
